NaNoWriMo.pngI so spaced out this month. I just realized that I had joined the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) organization. That means that I promised to write a novel (or part of it) during the month of November. Apparently, in order to actually win my challenge I need to write at least 50,000 words. Not sure how I will be able to do that as I will be traveling for part of the month. I will however do my best. For more than a year now I have been writing very sporadically and though I still write a lot, I have yet to finish any one of my multitude of projects. I have written a lot of songs, some of which I believe are really good, but have not made an effort to get a good recording of any of them. I wrote a lot of short stories towards a second collection of erotica , but have not vetted them enough to actually warrant publishing. I have started two new novels and I worked on the one I had started last November. Have not finished any of them. I also wrote some short stories and more poems. I guess I do not like finishes. The only thing that I have completed was a collection of poems that I deemed ready for publication. That one is available from Amazon. So, NaNoWriMo is actually a way to push myself into working harder on one project and perhaps finishing it. I have no problem writing  3,000 to 5,000 words a day, I just need more discipline. I hope the NaNoWriMo org will forgive me for posting some previously written words, but in order to be true to my goals, I need to re-read and re-write some of my previously written pages. I expect to be all caught up by day eight of the process. I do have a lot of notes for many other projects, but I picked one that is a bit off my usual beaten path.
